Website redesign and modernisation

Modernising a website from €850. I speed up the old site, fix the problems on mobile, bring the appearance up to date and keep what already works — including the content and the URLs that matter.

Hand-drawn wireframes of website and mobile screens.

What is included

  • An audit of the current site — performance, mobile, SEO, accessibility
  • A redesign of 3–8 pages — on a larger site the price follows the page count
  • Modernisation of the current look and a rebuilt frontend
  • Technical SEO included — URL structure, meta tags, structured data, sitemap
  • Keeping existing URLs or setting up redirects so rankings do not drop
  • Image and loading-speed optimisation
  • Responsive rendering on every device
  • Content migration from the old site
  • Deployment and a post-launch check

What costs extra

  • A larger site — 9–15 pages instead of 3–8 (from €350)
  • Adding an admin area so you can manage the content yourself, if the site has none (from €500)
  • New copy and a reworked content structure (from €350)
  • A new visual style to your brief instead of modernising the current one (from €350)
  • An additional language version (from €350 per language)
  • Regular maintenance and post-launch support — from €65/month Any service can be extended with regular maintenance: updates, backups, availability monitoring and small changes to content or features.

Who this suits

For companies that have a website but it is falling behind in appearance, speed or technical foundation. Building a new site from zero is not always necessary — first I work out what is worth keeping. If the current site is more than five years old and runs on an unmaintained system, rebuilding it works out cheaper.

  • Colleagues working at computers in an office. Offices and teams
  • A guest checking in at a hotel reception. Hotels and guesthouses
  • A lawyer going through a contract with clients at a meeting table. Lawyers and notaries
  • A site manager in a hard hat checking his phone on a building site. Construction companies
  • A small shop owner behind a counter full of colourful goods. Shops and brands

Frequently asked questions

Questions about “Website redesign”

Will a redesign cost us our search rankings?

The goal is to keep your search positions, not to put them at risk with a redesign. I keep the URLs that matter or set up redirects, and I check technical SEO during the migration. Faster loading and a cleaner structure usually help rankings instead.

How many pages are in the redesign price?

The price from €850 covers a redesign of 3–8 pages. A site of 9–15 pages comes to roughly €350 more, and each page beyond fifteen to about €65 — more pages mean more templates, more checking after the migration and more work with the content. On sites with more involved features (filters, calculators, a client area) I set the price against the actual scope.

How do I tell whether a redesign is enough or a new site is better?

It comes down to the state of the technical foundation. If the site runs on a current system and merely looks dated, a redesign from €850 is enough. If it runs on an unmaintained platform or cannot be updated safely, a new site is cheaper than the repairs. Watch the total, too: a redesign of a larger site with an admin area added comes close to the price of a new company website with a CMS from €1,500 — and that one you get built from the ground up rather than assembled on top of old code. I will take a look and say what makes sense, free of charge.

What happens to the content we already have?

I migrate it to the new site. Text, images, references and articles stay — usually we take the opportunity to go through them and drop what is out of date. Migration is included in the price.
